Your Guide to Beautiful Skin: 12 Skincare Secrets

Remember, everyone’s skin is unique, so it is essential to find a skincare routine and a lifestyle that work best for you.

Daily Skincare routines and habits to achieve healthier skin.

1. Stay hydrated! Ensure you are consuming enough water. Water is not only essential to your health, it is essential to prevent skin dryness.

2. Avoid unwanted expressions on your face, such as frowning, squinting or creasing the forehead in order to prevent wrinkles.

3. Opt for Organic Natural sunscreens of at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from sun damage.

4. Wash your face with lukewarm water at least twice a day to remove dirt, residue and excess oils. The benefits of this include; preventing acne breakouts, promoting a clearer complexion, reducing the risk of infections, improving skin texture, and allowing better absorption of skincare products.

5. Scrub your face once a week to deep cleanse, improve blood circulation, increase absorption of moisturizers and promote a healthier skin barrier.

6. It is recommended to change your pillowcase once a week and your towel as often as possible (after 3-4 uses) in order to prevent breakouts, skin irritation and other skin issues.

7. Always remove your make up and wash your face well with a good face cleanser before sleeping to allow your skin cells to regenerate.

8. Apply your night hydrating and moisturizing cream then massage your face in a circular upward motion, tap the contour of your eyes lightly, and finally, rub your neck and jaw to release the tension for about 5 minutes every night. This massage encourages blood flow, relaxes the muscles of your face, stimulates collagen production and helps remove toxins by stimulating lymphatic drainage.

9. Try to sleep on your back unless advised otherwise by your doctor, to prevent facial creasing that can lead to long-term wrinkles.

10. Use a silk or satin pillowcase for its benefits of reducing friction, minimizing hair breakage, preventing bed head, and reducing the likelihood of wrinkles and creases on the skin, while also helping to retain moisture and prevent skin dryness.

11. Aim to sleep for 7 to 8 hours a night as this is essential for the body to regenerate skin cells and reduce inflammation.

12. Manage stress through exercise and/or meditation as it is important to remember that skincare is a holistic approach involving various factors including
lifestyle and skin care practices.
